A Hydrafacial is an all-in-one facial rejuvenation treatment that exfoliates, detoxifies, extracts, cleanses, and hydrates. It also helps to fight and prevent pore size, pigmentations, and fine line and wrinkles.
How does a Hydrafacial work?
The Hydrafacial is a handheld device that features four HydroPeel tips and other skin care solutions such as chemical exfoliants, antioxidants, and hydrating serums that come out of a machine attached to the device. A vortex effect is created when the spiral design of the tips work with the Hydrafacial vacuum which makes it easier for the device to dislodge and remove impurities. This works in conjunction when it introduces different solutions that hydrate, exfoliate, and infuse your skin with antioxidants.
The esthetician will move the Hydrafacial device over your face which activates the VortexFusion tips, delivering various solutions at different degrees of pressure then sucking them back up again. Dead skin cells and sebum will also be sucked up during this process. Each Hydrafacial appointment will have four basic steps.
The Four Hydrafacial Steps
Your Hydrafacial will start with a manual cleanse by your esthetician which will then be followed by a VortexFusion treatment with Activ4. This process allows exfoliating lactic acid and glucosamine HCI to combine with antioxidant-rich algae, which conditions and softens your skin.
There is a lighter or more aggressive option to choose from to give your skin a deeper exfoliation. During this process, the tips will deliver a glycolic acid level of 7.5%, 15% or 30% and a salicylic acid level of 1.5% to 2%. When you combine the chemical exfoliation and the physical exfoliation from the tip, you receive a peel that gives quicker results compared to a tradition peel.
In this step, a different tip will be used to soften sebum with salicylic acid. The new tip will also use Beta-HD to suck up blackheads and sebum that are found in your open pores. While that is going on, spiraea ulmaria flower extract is used to calm and soothe your skin while honey extract hydrates your skin.
Now that your skin is cleansed, extracted, and exfoliated, it is now ready to get infused with antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and peptides. This process will help attract water to your skin so it will keep hydrated and plump after your Hydrafacial is done!
Who will benefit from a Hydrafacial?
The best thing about getting a Hydrafacial is that anybody can get them! It can be used on all types of skin, but those with oily, sensitive, and/or aging skin benefit from it the most. It is great for those who want their skin to look fresh and hydrated for a night out on the town or to treat skin conditions like acne, aging skin, and brown spots.
